What a great VR experience. THis is a must have. The atmosphere and art are fantastic.Downsides: no lockon feature makes combat feel clumsy. Also, this game will take less than two hours to complete.DEVS: Lets have an Odysseus game next: longer, with more attention to combat and just the same focus on beautiful set pieces.. Very similar to chronos. Has an annoying tendency to restrict movement, trying to make sure you don't rush through the cinematics, made the game very slow. Combat was sparse and not particularly fun. Very linear and required low input from the player. Graphics and atmosphere were great.. PLEASE! MAKE THIS GAME COMPATIBLE WITHOUT VR!. Games like this make we wish Steam had a thumbs sideways option. I wouldn't really recommend this game but I wouldn't say "don't ever play this game!" either. I give it thumbs up because I have a soft spot in my heart for small dev teams and indy games. You could tell they put some effort into the game and cared about it but it could defnitely use some more polish.Don't buy this for 20 bucks. It is very not worth that imo. I got it on sale for like 5 bucks. It's maybe worth that but even after paying that much I feel "meh" about the game. It was okay. Some people it seems really enjoyed it based on people's reviews. Many comparing this to Chronos. I disagree. The only way this compares to Chronos is the camera style and the graphics. Similarities end there for me. It's short. Like 1-2 hours short. At the end a minor hint is dropped that you should go play again but I had little interest to.. The resolution is too low (to all Devs: let US the gamer decide how much SS (supersampling) we want!!! goddamn...), textures are mostly low quality\/resolution and to the end there were some weird, minor audio issues, BUT: I actually kinda dig this game!Combat is quite fun (not terribly hard though), third person is done exceptionally well and fit right in "VR" and the music is top notch!Quite suspenseful at times which goes well with this more dark version of Chronos (which is by far the better, more polished game).Really good narrative and an interesting story. REALLY short though.So: I think if you are into story and cinematic "experiences" AND the game is on deep sale, get it and play it once. For a few bucks, it's really worth it imho.. + Beautiful environment+ High quality 3D models and textures+ Authentic animations+ Amazing atmosphere+ Great voice acting+ Innovative (3rd person VR does work pretty good if you do it correctly apparently)+ Challenging and engaging combat system+ AAA class interpretation of an old greek myth+ Convincing AI- Some passages are a little boring (climbing around)- I experienced a few technical issues which froze the picture for a few seconds (very uncomfortable with VR)- Didn't really push the limits with the combat system- Ending was a little bit disappointingBut the negative points are nothing compared to the positive points. It was an amazing experience and I would love to see more games like that.. I relly enjoyed this game. If you enjoyed Chronos you should definitely give this game a try. Admitedly it isn't as long as Chronos and the combat isn't as refined but it is very atmospheric, I wish more developers would make 3rd person VR games. This game along with Chronos definitely prove that not every VR game needs to be a wave shooter or a roomscale game. Sometimes it is good to just lean back with a controller and enjoy a game in VR.Yes it is short so, but I didn't replay to get all the achievements or story elements. I didn't mind the length because my time is limited. The price is fair though (about $8 equivalent in my country).. I had a good time with this game. I enjoy a seated game from time to time, and this one has really nice graphics, and an interesting premise. It's short though, so maybe wait for a sale.. Pros:- Exellent Graphics for an immersive VR experience- Atmosphere- Good character models- Tense moments in which timing is the key to survivingCons:- The combat mechanics are ok but the sword play doesn't feel gratifying- May cause discomfort after a 1+ hour game session
